Exclusively for Our Wine Club Members
Silver medal ~ 2017 Texas International Wine Competition
This vintage is typical of Cabernet Franc, medium bodied, savory, dry, spicy finish.
The 2015 growing season had excellent weather: light spring rains with a hot and dry summer. This allowed for full and balanced fruit ripening. Our harvest was fairly manageable with these grapes coming from two blocks: Henslee and Old Place.
During fermentation we utilized cryo-maceration- the fruit was flash frozen and then thawed. This approach brings out color and phenol compounds.
